School Story

my one year at Monroe was my senior year. I moved to Rochester in august 1965 after living in Hattiesburg, Ms for 2 years. early in the school year I was fortunate to make 3 good friends who brought me smoothly into my new scene. gary updyke, hans boettrich & ted Kurtz did me one of the greatest solids I'd ever known accepting me into their circle. soon we introduced M.U.S.H. the Monroe united school of heretics as a goofy social club probably inspired by mrs ringwood's class American Life, still the best class I ever took in school.

i had to wrestle roy in gym class once as a sacrificial victim, & held my own for but a minute or two. he was a perfect gentleman as he sent me to "Pinland". always admired him after that. danny speer
