Crystal "Cris" Palmer (Morrow) Yoder - Cris attended School 15 and was selected as Assistant Daughter of the Flag while there. She was very popular in both elementary school and high school and loved organizing social activities. In later life she spoke of having become an avid reader. She had a beautiful singing voice and a love of music that earned her a spot in Rochester's Inter-High Chior. She also sang with the Distaffettes, a local choral group of young women. She died in November of 1992 of lung cancer, leaving behind two adult children and a husband.

What a sweet lady. We had fun at picnic on Sunday of the 25th Reunion. My daughter Kelley came with me and she still talks about Crystal. I still have a letter and photos that she sent to me.

Crystal was in several of my MHS classes during the 3 school years before I transferred elsewhere. Though we attended different elementary schools and I can't say that I knew her well I recall that every contact we had left no doubt that she was a very special person that uplifted those who met her. It is regrettable that I missed all MHS reunions until after Crystal's demise and truly tragic that her life was cut so short. RIP Crystal>>"we hardly knew ye."
