Rick Yatteau

Died in Viet Nam 8/30/1968

At Monroe, Rick sang in the 9th grade choir, was in dramatics, Redcoats, and the ski club.He also played J.V. football and gymnastics. Rick served in the Marines in Viet Nam as a Lance Corporal. He was a member of the Gold Chevrons VFW Post 2700. He died in Viet Nam on August 30, 1968. His siblings were Alice, James, Robert, Donald, Charles, and Frederick.

I remember you, Rick....I am so sad you didn't get to have an adult life, and so grateful for your service. I will be thinking of you at the reunion.

Rick was one of the wise-guy gang like me. I do remember his frequent and loud laughter. His becoming a Red Jacket does supprise  me. Loseing his life needlessly was like many others we all knew. Sadly remembered.
